Last week, we talked about how the iOS version of Final Fantasy – the game from Square Enix which was released all the way back in 1987, rolled out to the masses in the US for $6.99 a pop, looked set to roll back the years when it comes to remembering just how video games played, here we are with news that the UK market, too, will be able to grab this 90MB download for your Windows Phone powered smartphones – the Nokia Lumia range included. Back then, the graphics were considered to be stunning, not to mention your ears were treated to what was deemed as a lush orchestration coupled with intricate plot lines to keep you gripped on the edge of your gaming seats.

Plenty of puzzles, battles and vehicles made up part of the Final Fantasy universe, where you had to guide the Warriors of Light on a perilous journey in order to restore the crystals to their rightful lustre after being condemned to darkness by elements which do not have the best interest of the world at hand. You can relive those early years of gaming with half a dozen characters to choose from – Warrior, Thief, Monk, Red Mage, White Mage, and Black Mage.
