AT&T logoYesterday we reported that according to TechCrunch, AT&T was blacking out vacation dates for employees from the 21st of September to the 30th of September, suggesting that it was likely that Apple’s next-gen iPhone could be launched then. For those who are feeling pretty confident that those are indeed the dates on which we can see the release of the device, it looks like AT&T has officially stepped forward to refute those claims. According to the folks at 9to5 Mac who reached out to AT&T, they were told that the rumors were not true and that there is no companywide vacation blackout for the end of September. If anything, reports from AT&T reps at their stores have stated that more people are being put on duty, which presumably will help deal with the influx of customers who are looking to get the new iPhone once it launches. In any case the 21st of September release date has yet to be officially confirmed, so we will be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for additional information, so stay tuned!
