Jason Babler, the Creative Director of MAKE magazine, has a hobby that would certainly earn him a handsome income if he were to decide to quit his day job – at least among the gaming community. After all, his love for sculpting has resulted in this particularly impressive statue of Azmodan, Lord of Sin, who hails from the hugely successful Diablo 3 franchise. His most recent creation has resulted in this two-foot wide, 17-inch tall model of Azmodan, and to add a tech twist to it, it comes complete with LED lightning alongside an amazing level of detail that would certainly receive nods of approval from other sculptors.

why did Jason pick Azmodan anyways? Well, Jason mentioned that he was extremely impressed with Blizzard’s team in designing Azmodan, where the Lord of Sin fits a vile profile and yet does not look out of place from the other games. The sculpting point of view came with its fair share of technical challenges, including his legs, with hands and a mouth that light up to boot. It would be nice to see an official sculpture series from Jason hit the market, I am quite sure they would do rather well.
