samsung-logoWe’ve all heard the rumors that Apple is looking to reduce their reliance on Samsung as both tech giants continue to battle each other in court over patent infringement claims. However thanks to a report from ETNews, it has been suggested that might no longer be the case as apparently Apple is looking to switch to Samsung as its primary LCD supplier because apparently the technology used by Samsung is superior compared to Apple’s other suppliers, such as LG for example.

Samsung’s thin glass is used heavily in the company’s Galaxy S series of smartphones, and this is apparently one of the reasons why Apple could be looking to go back to Samsung. It is also possible that Samsung Display, due to its size and capacity, will be able to meet the demands from Apple in terms of numbers and yield. We’re pretty sure Apple can’t be too pleased to have to go back to Samsung after everything, and assuming this rumor is true, it looks like it is good news for Samsung. Either way take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think?
