Amazon Birthday Gift Lets You Send Gift Cards To Facebook Friends

Knowing what to get someone for their birthday, especially since they pretty much have everything they want, can be tough. Sometimes the best thing to do is just get them a gift card so they can spend it on whatever they want, and Amazon is making it easier to send your Facebook friends gift cards to the online retailer.

Amazon Birthday Gift is launching today and, just as you would expect, allows customers to send their Facebook friends electronic gift cards for their birthdays. Amazon is making this experience more social as you can also invite mutual friends to contribute towards the gift card, which will hopefully make its worth much higher.

The process requires you to log in to Amazon’s site and connecting your Facebook profile to it, which when it’s connected, will present you with a list of friends whose birthdays are coming up. You can then start the gift by selecting the card amount and writing a birthday message, which will show up on the person’s birthday. If you’re able to get additional mutual friends to contribute, their individual birthday messages will also appear as part of the digital Amazon gift card.
