GameStop_Store_KindeWere you thinking about pre-ordering either Sony’s PS4 or Microsoft’s Xbox One at GameStop this week? Well according to a post by an anonymous GameStop employee on Reddit, apparently the retailer will be putting an end to pre-orders of either console as soon as today. The pre-orders via the website are expected to continue for a little bit longer, but pre-orders made within the store are said to be halted for the time being. What’s with the halt, you ask? Well apparently this is due to limited quantities of the console that are available for pre-order. It seems that demand for either platform was “insane” to the point where GameStop does not want to promise customers anything they might not be able to deliver. According to the rumor, pre-orders are said to end by the end of the business day on the 21st of June, so if you’d like to try and get your pre-order in, you might want to hurry. No word on whether GameStop will be reopening the pre-orders at a later date, but either way it is still a rumor for now so take it with a grain of salt.
