nokia-dc19Your smartphone is not going to be very smart whenever it runs out of juice, which is why it makes perfect sense for you to charge it to the maximum every single night when you sleep, so that you have a fully functional device the next morning. Having said that, Nokia intends to bring a new wireless charger known as the DT-601 to the table alongside a new portable USB charger which is called the DC-19. The Nokia DT-601 is more or less similar to its predecessor, the DT-900, in terms of functionality, but it has one distinct advantage – it is smaller, lighter, easier to tote around and of course, more affordable. In all, it measures 65mm in diameter and is under 9mm thick. Not only that, the DT-601 would also be Qi compatible, so it will play nice with all current wireless charging products from Nokia as well as other manufacturers who play nice with Qi.

As for the DC-19, it is but a universal portable USB charger that is compact and can be easily “summoned” into action, packing in a 3,200-mAh battery with a stand-by time of the DC-19 of more than six months when fully charged. The Nokia DT-601 is tipped to retail for €29 a pop, while the Nokia DC-19 will cost you a similar price point, too. [Press Release]
