xbox-one-hands-on-review-07When it comes to playing RTS or FPS games, there are some who are more comfortable playing it with a keyboard and mouse combo, while there are some who are pretty comfortable using a gamepad. However the good news for Xbox One gamers is that if you were hoping that future games would allow you to use a keyboard and mouse, you’re in luck because Microsoft has not discounted the use of either peripheral just yet. Speaking during an interview with Newegg Arcade, Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb revealed that Xbox One support for the keyboard and mouse is possible, although it will not be supported right out of the box.

According to Hyrb, “We’ll certainly have this great SDK for developers to do what they like. If that’s something they’re interested in doing, we’ll certainly help them do that. Certainly it’s possible, but we don’t have anything to announce at this time.” It’s pretty vague but we guess gamers should take comfort in knowing that it will come a point in time where they will be able to game with a keyboard and mouse with the Xbox One. What do you guys think? Do you prefer using a gamepad for your FPS games? Or are you more of a keyboard and mouse kind of gamer?
