forza-5-orange-carThere are some game franchises that get extremely popular, so it makes sense for the developer behind it to attempt to make as much money as possible from it. Some of the better examples out there are Angry Birds from Rovio, Call of Duty as well as Assassin’s Creed. Some of these franchises seem to receive a new game each year, and as for the likes of Nintendo, Mario seems to be a pretty permanent fixture across all of their consoles, whether at home or on a handheld device. It seems that Microsoft too, wants to do the same with the Forza franchise, where Turn 10 as well as Playground will take turns in churning out a new game every single year.

Of course, this is but a rumor, but so far British sports car company “Ultima” has already confirmed that they will extend their partnership with Microsoft to have their rides featured in a new game that will roll out later this year. Ultima claims that both Forza Motorsport 4 and 5 have been successes in their own right, and in a now removed Facebook post, Ultima mentioned, “Our relationship with the Microsoft Corporation continues after the success of being included in Forza Motorsport 4. We are now also included in the latest Forza Motorsport 5 game which was released in late 2013. We have also recently agreed a new contract with the Microsoft corporation to be included in a new video game to be launched later in 2014. The Ultima is proving to be very popular and is providing excellent world wide publicity and recognition for our marque.”

Considering how the Facebook post was removed, this could be due to Ultima leaking out some DLC plans since their rides have yet to appear in Motorsport 5. Oh, the intrigue of it all…
