It seems that Apple’s Siri has been hacked, and in this particular hack, it would enable Siri to function with the likes of Spotify, Instagram as well as different third-party apps. Not only that, you need not worry about voiding your iPhone since installation can be performed in a jiffy without having to go through the jailbreaking process. How is this made possible? You will have to turn your attention to the PennApps Spring 2014 hackathon, which happens to be the largest university hackathon. One of the major triumphs of this hackathon would be an exciting Siri hack known as GoogolPlex that enables iPhone users to control third-party applications using Siri without having to perform a jailbreak.

This would clearly make it the only and first Siri hack for iOS 7 that is readily available for the masses to give it a go. The brains behind GoogolPlex would be Ajay Patel, Alex Sands, Ben Hsu, and Gagan Gupta, where this freshmen quartet in the M&T program at the University of Pennsylvania decided to come up with this creative “solution” after they were frustrated with Siri’s apparent lack of features. Ah well, this just goes to prove yet again that necessity is the mother of all invention, right?
