Internet trolls tend to stick to, well, the internet. Since anyone can sound tough and make offensive comments without actually saying it to anyone’s face, we can certainly understand the appeal of being a troll. In fact it could be one of the ways people get to vent their frustration on the internet without any real consequence, or is it?
Well it seems that one internet troll took things a bit too far when he started trolling Deontay Wilder, a heavyweight boxer who won the bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. According to Wilder, he claims that the troll, Charlie Zelenoff, abused him with racial slurs and even made nasty comments about Wilder’s daughter, who has been diagnosed with spina bifida.
However it seems that trolling Wilder on the internet was not enough because Zelenoff thought that he wanted to take Wilder on in real life too, and challenged Wilder to a fight at gym in L.A. Turns out that Wilder had enough of Zelenoff’s trollish behavior and agreed to the fight. Zelenoff signed a waiver agreeing to the fight and well, we won’t spoil it for you guys, but safe to say the troll got what he deserved.
If you have a few minutes to spare, you can check out the video above in which we get to see Wilder and Zelenoff face off against one another in the ring. This isn’t the first time that we heard about trolls getting what they deserve. Back in 2013 a troll nearly got beaten up by a pro boxer after the boxer found out where he lived, although thankfully that story had a much happier ending than this.
