facebook-save

Our Facebook News Feeds are full of interesting posts, links, photos and videos. Some shared by our connections, others shared by Pages of personalities or companies that we like. I often find myself either emailing those posts to myself or sharing them on my own timeline to catch up on them later. Facebook today announced a new feature that will help me and countless of its users sort such posts in one location where they can be accessed at any given time. The feature is called Save.

Facebook Save can be used to sort items like links, places, movies, TV and music. Everything that you save will be visible to you only until and unless you decide to share a particular item with your connections.

Saved items will be available in the “More” tab on mobile and by clicking the link on the left hand side of Facebook if you’re accessing the social network on a desktop. The list is organized by category and you can swipe right on each item to share it or move it to the archives list.

Facebook will also show reminders of saved items sometimes in the News Feed to let you know that you have content waiting to be seen. The feature is going to be rolled out on iOS, Android and the web over the next few days.
