nokia-lumia-920-review-016-640x426If you happen to own the Nokia Lumia 920 and have been waiting patiently for the longest time to see the official Windows Phone 8.1 and Lumia Cyan update, it looks like there is not much longer that you need to wait. Apparently, many areas of Western Europe have reported that the Lumia 920 have started to see the update, and for the rest of the world, this particular update too, has arrived.

Where “the rest of the world” is concerned, we are referring to Lumia 920 owners over in Africa, South America, the Middle East, the rest of Europe, Asia Pacific, and Canada. All of those areas ought to see your Windows Phone-powered smartphone pick up a notification. Do bear in mind that the Lumia 920 has been around for quite some time already, having been the flagship device for Windows Phone 8 when it was first unleashed upon the world close to two years back.

Of course, for those who are running the Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview will first have to revert to the official version of the mobile operating system, which should not be too difficult using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. From there, one will have to set up the developer preview again, giving you an early start with GDR1 update to Windows Phone 8.1. How has your update experience been so far?
