It was confirmed last month that one of the world’s most popular on demand music streaming service is finally going to be launched in Canada. At the time Spotify put up a registration page to collection information of all potential users who would like to use the service when it went live. Spotify is now sending invites to them although the invitations are being sent in a limited number for now.

A full scale launch of Spotify in Canada is expected within the next few weeks though for now the service’s website doesn’t list Canada as one of the countries that it services. It has been confirmed though that Spotify is currently being tested in Canada and once its happy with the results the full scale launch will take place.

Spotify itself hasn’t announced subscription prices for subscribers in Canada but rumor has it that the price will be similar to the $10 fee that Spotify charges in the U.S. For now it is not charging users who have received an invitation code, they will be charged once the service goes live for everyone.

The music streaming service is live in over 55 countries right now and boasts a catalogue of millions of songs from a wide variety of artists.
