vivo-x5-maxThe Vivo X5 Max has made some rounds in various news channels over the past few weeks, and it seems that the latest round of rumors do point to an upcoming official announcement of the smartphone that is set to happen some time in December. I suppose that is great news for those who would want to own what would be deemed to be the thinnest smartphone on the planet by the time it rolls out, being 4.75mm in terms of thickness, which is a wee bit thinner compared to the current king of the hill in this department, the 4.85 mm Oppo R5. Well, Vivo has already confirmed the existence of the X5 Max officially, having put up a teaser image in which you are able to see on the right.

The teaser image itself does not reveal too much information, in fact, there is nothing else that we can work with other than to know of the smartphone’s name, apart from something to do with the relative thickness (or rather, the lack of it) of the handset. So far, revealed hardware specifications that have been bandied around include a phablet-class 5.5” display at Full HD resolution, Android 4.4.4 KitKat, LTE support, an octa-core 1.7 GHz processor, 2GB RAM, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 13MP at the back. Hopefully it will be priced right when it arrives.
