vivo-x5-maxVivo might not necessarily be a household name in the US, but they certainly have been making waves, especially as they were one of the first few companies to release a smartphone with a QHD display in the form of the Vivo Xplay 3S. Well it looks like the company is coming back with a new phone in the form of the Vivo X5 Max, a phone which could very well steal the title of the world’s thinnest smartphone.

The company has recently posted a teaser image of the device and as you can see, it looks pretty damn thin. The thinnest smartphone title at the moment belongs to the Oppo R5 with a thickness of 0.19-inches. However with the X5 Max, Vivo could steal that crown with a thickness of 0.15-inches, making it mighty thin indeed!

As you might have heard from a previous report, the X5 Max is expected to be announced on the 10th of December so perhaps we will learn more then regarding its features and availability. As it stands, the rumors are claiming a Full HD 5.5-inch display with an octa-core chipset under the hood accompanied by 2GB of RAM.

It is also said to sport a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and we guess its thinness will be one of its defining features as well, but what do you guys think? Would such a thin phone appeal to you?
