iPad-air-review-5At last, Christmas has arrived early for iPad lovers over in China, as Apple has just announced that the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 with cellular networking models will arrive in the world’s most populous country some time later this week. Considering how we are well past the halfway mark of this week already, it should prove to be a rather sweet weekend for those picking up either tablet that will conform to TD-LTE and FDD-LTE standards, in addition to TD-SCDMA, DC-HSDPA, HSPA+ and other fast networks, all crammed into a single model so that the iPad Air 2 would allow China customers to remain connected not only back home, but also elsewhere worldwide.

Just to recap, the iPad Air 2 happens to be the thinnest and most powerful iPad to date at just 6.1mm thin and tipping the scales at under a pound. For those who are already starting to perform same calculations in your mind, here is the breakdown.

The iPad Air 2 with WLAN models will arrive in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models that will retail for 3,588 (RMB), 4,288 (RMB) and 4,988 (RMB), respectively. As for the iPad Air 2 with WLAN + Cellular models which support both TD-LTE and FDD-LTE, the 16GB model will cost 4,488 (RMB), while the 64GB model is going for 5,188 (RMB) with the 128GB model costing 5,888 (RMB).

As for the iPad mini 3 with WLAN + Cellular models which support TD-LTE and FDD-LTE, they happen to arrive in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities that will retail for 3,788 (RMB), 4,488 (RMB) and 5,188 (RMB), respectively. [Press Release]
