chrome remote desktopWhen trying to get someone to fix your computer remotely, one of the ways technicians are able to do so is by logging onto your computer and accessing it remotely, so at least on the software front they can do something about it. Hardware is obviously a different story. Now Google has released Chrome Remote Desktop for a while now, but the good news is that it looks like it is finally getting an iOS app.

The app was previously only available for Android devices, but now iOS users can get in on the remote desktop fun as well. The steps to enable the feature is the same as Android users. Basically you will need to install the Chrome Remote Desktop software which is a free download from the Chrome Web Store.

After which users will also need to download the iOS app and have both the browser app and iOS app installed. In order to access your desktop through the Chrome browser, users will need to perform a series of steps and verify themselves through a generated code, after which users should be able to access their desktops remotely without any issues, hopefully.

If this is a feature you wouldn’t mind having, perhaps to transfer files or to allow a friend to diagnose your computer’s problems remotely, then you can download the Chrome Remote Desktop app via the iTunes App Store for free.
