chordanaJust because you don’t know how to play an instrument doesn’t mean you don’t know how to put together a good song. You could have a great tune in your head that you want to turn into a song, but instead of going out and trying to find people to turn your idea into a reality, why not let an app does that for you?

Casio has recently released an app called the Chordana Composer. This is basically an app that allows the user to compose entire songs based on a two-bar melody that is created by the user themselves, and the best part is that you could either sing those two bars or whistle it if you really have no musical theory knowledge whatsoever.

After which the app will process those two bars and come up with a tune that will hopefully sound just as good as you imagined it to be. There will be different genres that the user can choose from which would undoubtedly affect the style and tempo of the final piece. The final piece will also come with an intro and ending which is actually pretty neat.

However for users with a bit more musical knowledge and skill, you can always use the app’s keyboard interface to enter the notes or melody, which could come in handy for those who might have a tune or two that they would like to see imagined as an actual song. The app is available for iOS devices via the iTunes App Store where it is priced at $2.99.
