OnePlus has already teased the Lollipop update that Cyanogen is developing for OnePlus One, and while that update is believed to be just around the corner, today OnePlus released CM11S 05Q over-the-air. This latest software update is based on Android KitKat so its not really a major update but it does bring MaxxAudio and SwiftKey to the device.

Last week OnePlus announced that it has adopted SwiftKey as the default keyboard on its devices. Users will be able to access SwiftKey features straight from the native keyboard, no app installation required, a great addition for people who already use this third-party keyboard.

Today’s update also brings improvements for NFC on OnePlus One, fixes various security issues and updates several media codecs. It also adds three new video options in the camera app.

To improve the overall performance of the software unused features have been removed from CM11S, which include unused key layouts, an option for silent alarm ringtone and even references to non-existent ringtones.

This is probably the last and final CM11S update for OnePlus One. The Lollipop update for OnePlus One is ready and destined to arrive in the very near future.

Later this month OnePlus will also unveil its own ROM for the OnePlus One called the OxygenOS.
