There have been lots of news today from Barcelona as Mobile World Congress 2015 kicks off. We have mostly been covering new devices and other related news, even though BlackBerry is present at the event, it hasn’t unveiled a new device just yet. The company however did confirm that BBM Android Wear support, which has been confirmed previously, is coming tomorrow along with custom PINs.

BBM Android Wear support means that smartwatch users will be able to communicate faster and more discreetly on the go with BlackBerry’s cross-platform messaging app.

With support for BBM, Android Wear smartwatch users will be able to receive alerts on their wrist when new messages arrive, preview messages discreetly and see who the sender is.

Users will also be able to read entire messages on their smartwatch, navigate among them and dismiss notifications with simple swipes. Users can accept BBM invites from their smartwatch and respond to messages hands-free through Google Now or choose any of the pre-defined messages to shoot a quick reply.

BlackBerry will allow BBM users to create a customized BBM PIN from tomorrow. Those who upgrade to the latest version of BlackBerry Messenger tomorrow will be able to create a 6-8 digits alphanumeric custom PIN of their choice. Its a subscription based feature which costs $1.99 per month.
