iphone_screen_sizesWithout fail every year Apple launches new handsets, and after last year’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, we’re expecting that Apple will launch the “S” versions of those handsets. We suppose that would be a logical assumption which was recently echoed in a report from DigiTimes (via MacRumors).

However interestingly enough it seems that not only will Apple introduce the “S” versions of their handsets, they are also expected to introduce the iPhone 6C, a 4-inch model that would be priced slightly lower than the other two models so as to appeal to customers with smaller budgets. This isn’t the first time we have heard of Apple’s rumored plans to make cheaper handsets and the iPhone 5c was one of them, although the handset wasn’t that much cheaper compared to the iPhone 5s.

That being said we have also heard rumors that Apple would be making a return with a 4-inch iPhone so we’re guessing the iPhone 6C could be it, although given that the iPhone 5c wasn’t exactly what you would call a success, we’re not sure why Apple is going at it again, but since this is just a rumor it’s best taken with a grain of salt for now.

It is unclear as to what kind of new specs we might expect from Apple’s new iPhones, but chances are we could be looking at the use of the A9 SoC, more RAM, and there is also word that Force Touch could be a feature Apple will introduce to their iPhone lineup.
