pancakebotDo you love pancakes? Just about everyone I know do have a weakness for them, and it would not be farfetched to to say that a robot that does pancakes is going to be a hit. Robots serving in the food and beverage industry is not exactly something new, so Kickstarter project PancakeBot looks set to be the perfect breakfast-time gadget.

The humble beginnings of the PancakeBot saw Norway-based Miguel Valenzuela come up with a prototype pancake CNC design with the help of Lego blocks, NXT components, a ketchup bottle, and a standard electric skillet. This proved to be the foundation for future simple designs that would make use of delicious pancake batter, where eventually acrylic replaced Lego, and the pancake-design capabilities were further refined before it ended up as a Kickstarter project.

So far, it has generated more than 5 times the amount of funds required for the PancakeBot to become reality, and you can be sure that many backers would be looking forward to their breakfast each morning when the PancakeBot arrives at their doorsteps. After all, a robot would be able to deal with ingredients in the exact measure, and chances are the end result would be a whole lot more consistent than what many of us are able to churn out.
