After deciding not to launch a new title last year EA has finally revealed the Need for Speed 2015 which has been developed by Ghost Games. If you were holding out for some elaborate moniker for this new title you’ll be disappointed because this time around they’ve decided to call the new title just Need for Speed. EA says that this is a “full reboot” of its popular storied racing franchise and that it delivers what fans want, which is “deep customization, authentic urban car culture, a nocturnal open world” with an immersive narrative.

Ghost Games has developed the new Need for Speed title, this Gothenburg, Sweden based developer was also behind Need for Speed: Rivals, the last major release in the franchise which came out back in 2013.

Since they’re focused on the car culture EA has drawn expertise from its own car culture community, Speedhunters, which is a blog founded in 2008 and owned by EA.

Only a short teaser trailer for Need for Speed has been released today which shows some of this urban and underground dynamic that EA is referring to, it invites fans to subscribe to the game’s official YouTube channel for the full trailer unveil on June 15th.

It has been confirmed though that Need for Speed is going to be released in “Fall 2015” for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC. More details about the title to follow next month.
