spotify android wearMusic playback controls is probably one of the most basic features that anyone can expect from a wearable device like a smartwatch. This allows users to control the music from their phone via their wrist so that they won’t have to dig into their pockets to take their phone out which can be inconvenient and not as efficient.

Now the good news is that if you’re a Spotify user, you will be pleased to learn that Spotify has launched its Android Wear app at last. What this means is that you will have Spotify on your wrist and you will be able to control music playback on the streaming service directly from your Android Wear smartwatch.

According to a post on Spotify’s blog, “With Spotify on your wrist, you’ll be able to seamlessly browse and play music on the go – without ever having to pick up your phone. Navigate through Your Music and play the music you like, or Browse to discover something new.” The company also states that the Android Wear app should roll out to users in June, so you will want to keep an eye out for it.

It will be interesting to see how an app such as Spotify handles on such a small display, especially since one of its key features is allowing users to discover and browse music, so will the small display be a hindrance, or will Spotify come up with a unique way to handle such features? We guess you’ll just have to wait for the app to find out.
