When the Apple Watch was first unveiled the company didn’t go into details about its battery life and over time it gradually revealed that users will have to charge it on a nightly basis. Most smartwatches these days have similar battery life but there’s an accessory in the works for the Apple Watch which claims to boost its battery life by up to 30 hours. The accessory is called Reserve Strap and it’s going to be released in November this year.

The official design specifications of the Reserve Strap have been confirmed and it’s shipping date has been set in stone as well.

Reserve Strap is 25mm wide with a thickness of 3-9mm and a total weight of 65g. It’s set with a uniform Thermoset Elastomer Silicone band which the developers say is “as resistant to water as Apple Watch.”

This accessory will be available for both the 38mm and 42mm case sizes of the Apple Watch and promises to fit wrists ranging from 130mm to 210mm.

If the Reserve Strap is fully charged it’s claimed to provide an additional 30 hours of battery life for the Apple Watch so if both the smartwatch and the band is fully charged, users can expect up to 48 hours of battery life.

To use this strap with the Apple Watch users will first have to remove the cover to bring out the Apple Watch accessory port and then hook it up. Reserve Strap will be released on November 3rd and will cost $249.99, you can pre-order it starting today.
