Arrested Development is one of those TV shows that you just can’t keep down because they have such a passionate fan following. It originally aired on Fox back in 2003 and only lasted three seasons. Some seven years later Netflix picked it up for a fourth season and released 15 new episodes. Fans have been waiting for a couple of years now for the next season and everything seems to be in order now, because it has finally been confirmed that the new Arrested Development season is coming to Netflix in 2016.

This was confirmed by series producer Brian Grazer on the Adam Carolla Show podcast yesterday. Fox Studios and the entire cast is now onboard for the next season, and Grazer has already conveyed the news to series creator Mitch Hurwitz.

Production of the new Arrested Development season is expected to begin after January 1st, and Grazer says that fans can expect the new episodes to go live some “four months” after that.

Netflix revived this show back in 2013 with 15 episodes, fans will be happy to know that the next season is going to have 17 episodes in all, and it will pick up right where we left off in the previous season with all of the shenanigans of the Bluth family.

As is the case with all Netflix productions, all episodes of the new Arrested Development season will be released on one day. The precise date will only be unveiled next year.
