Netflix resurrected the popular comedy series Arrested Development for a fourth season and in its true fashion released all of the new episodes on one day for binge-watching. Since then there hasn’t been much updated on the new Arrested Development season. There’s still hope for a new season though, Netflix COO Ted Sarandos has said that the company is “very optimistic” about it and that a few things need to be sorted out first before filming can get underway.
Fans of the show will be familiar with its assorted cast which includes the likes of Jason Bateman, Jeffrey Tambor, Will Arnett and Portia de Rossi. They’re busy with other projects and thus their schedules have to line up for filming to begin.
Talking to reports during the Television Critics Association press tour Sarandos said that “it’s an incredibly complicated show,” adding that “everyone is trying to make it happen.” The aim is to make it happen in a schedule that works for everybody involved.
Netflix received a good response when season four of Arrested Development premiered on Netflix over half a decade after the show was canned by its parent network. There’s a dedicated fan following of Arrested Development who would no doubt want a new season, lets just see how long it takes Netflix to deliver it.
