We suppose if there is something to be envious about iOS users, it would be the Lightning connector which basically allows the user to plug in the cable any direction they want since it will connect either way. As for other platforms that still rely on micro USB, this is a different story and until USB Type-C becomes as ubiquitous as micro USB, there will still be plenty of frustration to be had.

Enter Micro-Flip. This is a device that is being crowdfunded on Kickstarter where the idea behind it is to create a reversible micro USB connector. It will work with all micro USB devices, but given that it is reversible, it means that you will no longer have to fiddle with your cable trying to find the right way to plug it in.

Now granted reversing your cable isn’t exactly a huge inconvenience, but technology was meant to make our lives easier, so why not, right? The Micro-Flip has been designed in such a way that no matter which way you plug it in, it will have no problems connecting to your micro USB device, similar to how USB Type-C and the Lightning Connector works.

Its creators have so far managed to raise more than half their goal of $15,000, and if you think that this is a great idea and wouldn’t mind stockpiling a handful of these cables, at least until the day USB Type-C becomes the norm, head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details.
