A new report has been published today which claims that LG’s new Nexus handset is coming later this month, apparently it will be called “Nexus 5X” and it will be slightly more expensive than the original Nexus 5. LG isn’t the only company making a Nexus smartphone this year, it has been reported countless times that Huawei is building another one which is going to be priced competitively against leading high-end handsets in the market.

It was also reported yesterday that Google is going to conduct a press event in San Francisco on September 29th to formally launch the two new Nexus smartphones, the company has not yet officially confirmed anything.

Today’s report cites a source who also mentions the September 29th launch date for LG Nexus 5X, and claims that many of the recent leaks that reveal the handset’s design and details about its rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual-LED flash and other specifications are correct.

It’s also claimed by the source that LG Nexus 5X is going to be $50 more expensive than the original Nexus 5 which means that the new handset should cost $399 for the 16GB base model and $449 for the 32GB model.

Google hasn’t confirmed a single thing about the upcoming Nexus handsets so it’s best to take this information with a grain of salt for now.
