rdio_farewellAs you might have heard, back in November Pandora announced that they would be acquiring Rdio’s assets. This isn’t so much an acquisition of Rdio itself, but rather the assets like the technology and other parts of the company. Now if you have been a loyal Rdio follower, perhaps you’d like to reminisce about your time with the service.

Rdio has launched a special farewell page which basically shows you how you spent your time with the service, like when you joined, what was your first song, most played album, and etc. According to Rdio, “As we announced last month, Rdio is being acquired. As part of the acquisition, the Rdio service will be shutting down worldwide in the coming weeks. We’re honored to have connected you with the music you love. We know you want to find a home for that music, so we’re providing ways for you to take it with you.”

Your history with Rdio will also be downloadable, so all you’ll have to do is log into your account via the farewell page and your history with the service will be displayed, and you can also go ahead and download it and keep it if you’re sentimental about that sort of stuff. In the meantime Rdio’s paid subscriptions have already been cancelled so until the service officially shuts down which is set for the 22nd of December 2015, users will only have the ad-supported playlists to listen to.
