street fighter 5Capcom’s Street Fighter V has been announced for the Sony PlayStation 4 and PC platforms, with Microsoft’s Xbox One being left out of the mix, something that Microsoft has apologized to its customers about in the past. That being said, it seems that the game will now arrive on one additional platform.

If you were hoping that Capcom and Microsoft might have somehow worked out a new deal, you’d be disappointed. However if you have recently bought a Steam Machine, you will be pleased to learn that Capcom has announced that the game will also be compatible with SteamOS, meaning that Steam Machine owners should be able to play the game.

Given that Steam Machines are also accompanied by its unique controller, we reckon this should prove to be an interesting experience. “Hey everyone. I’m excited to announce that Street Fighter V will be officially supporting Steam OS! We are working closely with Valve on this endeavor, and will have more details to announce in the near future, so stay tuned for updates.”

Capcom also stated that there would be support for the Steam Controller and that gamers can look forward to participating in the beta that will be taking place from the 18-20 of December. Street Fighter V is expected to be released come February 16, 2016.
