The final Republican debate prior to the 2016 primary season is going to take place just two days from today which is why Google sees it fit to unveil some new initiatives that it has come up with to make it easier for Americans and everybody interested in the elections to easily keep up with all of the presidential campaign action. It’s also teaming up with Fox News for this purpose.

Google is integrating three new components into the debate, this includes a way to hear directly from the candidates on Google, questions from popular YouTube creators as well as real-time Google Trends data.

Google says that political search interest surges by over 440 percent on average during live televised debates as more people use the internet to learn more about the candidates and their manifestos. A new experimental feature will allow voters to make more informed choices by providing them a way to hear directly from candidates themselves in real-time right in Google Search results.

This will allow candidates to answer questions they might not be able to during the debate, with their campaigns being able to publish long-form text, photos and videos throughout the debate. All of this will become available when the first debate starts at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, simply search “Fox News debate” to find campaign responses.

During the debate, Google will also highlight insights from Google Trends which will put the spotlight on candidates, issues and debate topics as well a minute-by-minute view of which candidate was searched for most during the last debate. Three popular YouTube creators, Nabela Noor, Mark Watson, and Dulce Candy, will be joining moderators in the debate to ask the candidates a question on an issue that matters to them and their viewers.
