Since Nokia has sold their mobile business to Microsoft, it’s really anyone’s guess as to what the company might have planned for the future, but it seems that Nokia will have something to share at MWC 2016, thanks to a recent teaser that they have posted onto YouTube (see video above) in which they tease “The biggest thing you’ll ever see.”

Now before you get too excited and think that we might be able to expect some kind of gadget announcement, the description doesn’t seem to indicate that. It reads, “Technology often makes our lives easier, but what if there’s more to the story? Have you ever wondered how mobile networks will change? Something big is coming your way. Stay tuned on February 21 for the reveal.”

If anything it sounds like maybe Nokia will unveil their 5G plans at the event, or maybe some kind of technology advancement that they might sell and license to other phone makers, who knows? While there are talks about a certain Nokia C1, it does not seem to be particularly interesting enough to be called “the biggest thing”.

Ever since the sale, Nokia has started to express interest in other fields that aren’t necessarily about phones. For example there have been patents discovered that indicates their interest in wearables. Last year, the company also unveiled the Nokia OZO which is a 360-degree camera designed for virtual reality. Either way we guess we’ll have to wait and see what they’re up to, so check back with us this coming Sunday for the updates.
