moto-g4-plus-renderThanks to recently leaked photos and renders, it looks like Lenovo could be working on new Moto handsets. Now the obvious question here is when will Lenovo unveil their new products? Now there are several events coming up like Computex 2016 which will take place at the end of May, and we also have IFA which is scheduled for much later in the year.

Now waiting until IFA does seem a bit long, so it seems that a Computex announcement would be likely, but as it turns out it is neither. According to a report from Gizmo China, it looks like Lenovo could be making an announcement after Computex. The company recently announced new Zuk handsets in China and during the event, Lenovo’s CEO Yang Yuanqing reportedly revealed when the new Moto handsets will be announced.

Apparently Yang told reporters at the event that they will be announcing an “exciting” Motorola device on the 9th of June. Given what we’ve learnt so far, we do know that Lenovo is working on a Moto G4 and a G4 Plus. These devices can hardly be called exciting, at least based on what we know about it so far.

This could suggest that maybe there will be a new Moto X lineup, which does seem like a possibility since Motorola is due to refresh the lineup for 2016, but either way we guess we’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime hopefully more details will surface that will clue us in as to what we can expect.
