iPhone-7-Rose-GoldIt is safe to say that if you are looking forward to a brand spanking new design for the iPhone 7 this year, prepare to be disappointed because according to all the rumors and leaks, this year’s iPhone won’t be too different in design compared to its predecessor. In fact the latest leak seems to corroborate the earlier reports.

As you can see in the leak in the right, it shows off the alleged back chassis of the iPhone 7 in a rose gold finish, a color option that has become more or less standard . It shows two circular cutouts, where one will be for the camera lens and the other for the flash unit. It also shows the top and bottom portion of the phone where the antennas are supposed to go.

Interestingly enough ASUS has recently launched metal bodied handsets of their own in the ZenFone 3, but for some reason ASUS has managed to do away with the antenna breaks, something that Apple after a couple of generations still hasn’t managed to do which is actually a bit odd and disappointing.

Other than that, there’s nothing new in this design that we haven’t seen. There does not appear to be a dock connector so either this confirms the omission of the feature, or one of the rumors is wrong. Either way it’s probably best taken with a grain of salt for now.
