The OnePlus 3 is an affordable phone, more so given its specs which save for its display resolution, can be found in the flagship phones of other companies like Samsung and LG, just to name a few. Now it looks like OnePlus has one more area that they can boast about, which is that it has a fingerprint scanner that is faster than the iPhone 6s.

In the video above, it shows YouTuber SuperSafTV pit the OnePlus 3 against the iPhone 6s in terms of unlocking speed, and it shows that the OnePlus 3 is the winner. Of course the difference in speed isn’t particularly huge and it isn’t like the handset beat the iPhone 6s with a difference of seconds, but we suppose ultimately this does add up over time.

For those wondering why this is important, it is because there needs to be a clear advantage of using a fingerprint sensor over regular passcodes. Granted it is more secure since no one can “guess” your fingerprints, but if it takes significantly longer to unlock, it ultimately hampers usability which kind of defeats the point.

That being said, the iPhone 6s is no slouch either, but if you are looking for a new Android smartphone, then perhaps the OnePlus 3 with its stellar specs, affordable price tag, and its (proven) fast fingerprint scanner could be worth your consideration.
