blackberry neonWe have to say that right now we are a little confused with the phones BlackBerry has up their sleeves. We heard rumors about a certain Hamburg, but then another device codenamed Rome made an appearance on Geekbench. Let’s not forget that earlier this month rumors of a trio of BlackBerry handsets codenamed Neon, Argon, and Mercury were leaked.

So does that mean that the company has at least five new phones in the works? It could very well be that, and while the rumors are focusing on the Hamburg for now, a rendering has popped up showing off the alleged BlackBerry Neon handset. First of all this is a very clean rendering which has us wondering if maybe this could be a concept phone mistaken for an actual leak.

It has happened in the past, so color us skeptical. Secondly the design does remind us a little of the Hamburg, assuming those leaks are real, so once again we have to express a bit of skepticism on this front. That being said, the specs reveal that the phone will pack a 5.2-inch Full HD display, and under the hood a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset can be found with 3GB of RAM.

It is also rumored to come with 16GB of storage, a 13MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, and a 2,610mAh battery. BlackBerry is expected to share more details about their mobile plans this week, so perhaps we’ll learn more then, until then maybe take this one with a grain of salt.
