As it stands, the iPhone 6s is Apple’s current flagship offering. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 would be Samsung’s flagship, and in terms of releases, there’s a little less than a year between them, with the Note 7 obviously being the newer model. So with that being said, who will win in a speed test between both phones?

As it turns out the iPhone 6s actually managed to beat the Note 7. In the video above uploaded by PhoneBuff, it pits both phones against each other in a speed test to see how fast either handset will run in real-life. The iPhone 6s packs 2GB of RAM and has a dual-core processor, while the Note 7 has 4GB of RAM and a quad-core processor, so on paper it sounds like the Note 7 is the clear winner, right?

However interestingly enough the iPhone 6s managed to beat it rather soundly. In the tests conducted, the iPhone 6s completed the first lap in 1 minute 21 seconds, and 1 minute 51 seconds in the second lap, versus the Note 7 which took 2 minutes 5 seconds and 2 minutes 50 seconds respectively.

Of course we should point out that there are differences, such as the different types of display, the display resolution, and the operating system, just to name a few, all of which will no double play a factor in its performance. Some of the comments have also suggested that Samsung’s TouchWiz is also to blame for the lag, but what do you guys think?
