ip7 fast chargingIf you want to make your iPhone charge faster, one way to go about doing that is by using the iPad’s charger which is able to output more power, although there are some who do not recommend it. This is different from current Android phones where fast charging is built into the phone itself.

However could Apple be adopting some kind of fast charging technology for the iPhone 7? According to a tweet by @The_Malignant (via MacRumors), the answer is yes. We should note that we agree with MacRumors about the sketchiness of the rumor because so far all the rumors have been pretty consistent with each other, and fast charging seems to be a rather late addition to the party.

If the rumor is accurate, apparently this fast charging feature will feature five volt two amp charging, which would apparently make it even faster than going the iPad charger route, and possibly safer as well since it should have been designed with the iPhone in mind. We suppose fast charging tech shouldn’t really be a surprise given that it is all the rage these days.

But then again, Apple hasn’t exactly been known to be quick to adopt popular trends. Look how long it took for them to get up to 2GB of RAM, or adopting screen sizes larger than 4-inches, but either way it’s best taken with a grain of salt for now.
