spotify-gamingMusicals, movies, and TV shows all have soundtracks, some of which can be pretty famous. However when it comes to gaming, we suppose given that gameplay is the focus of the game, music usually takes a backseat. In fact many gamers actually turn off the music in favor of their own.

However if you were to take the time to listen, you’ll know that some games do have wonderful soundtracks, such as hit indie game Journey. This is something that Spotify knows which is why they have launched a new category called Gaming. “Starting today, we’re giving you all of your favorite gaming music and soundtracks – all housed in a single category.”

According to Spotify, “Find curated playlists like Power Gaming, RetroWave and Top Gaming Tracks as well as hundreds of gaming titles, covering everything from nostalgic 80’s mono tunes to the hottest new releases such as No Man’s Sky, Fallout 4 and Uncharted 4 – and we’re only just getting started. Also included are exclusively curated guest playlists by gaming profiles like Day[9] and Sneaky Zebra, and even more to come.”

This is actually a pretty good idea and if maybe you’d prefer creating your own Spotify Gaming playlist, you can head on over to Spotify’s website and browse their catalogue to create playlist more to your fancy.
