ipad_proWith the brand new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, Apple has introduced new storage options. They have done away with the 16GB base storage and made 32GB its base. Gone is the 64GB option and instead customers are given choices of 32GB, 128GB, or 256GB. The good news is that it looks like Apple is applying those changes to its iPad lineup as well.

While there were no iPad related announcements made yesterday, it has been noted that Apple has made changes to its iPad lineup in terms of storage options and prices. Gone are the 16GB options and all iPads across the board start at 32GB minimum. The 64GB options are also gone are are replaced by 128GB/256GB options, save for the iPad mini 2 which is only offered in 32GB.

Interestingly enough Apple has also lowered the prices on the maximum storage tier for the iPad Pros. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro with WiFi is now priced at $899 for the 128GB model (was $949) and $999 for the 256GB model (was $1,099). The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is also seeing similar cuts and for the WiFi-only model, the 128GB option is priced at $699 (was $749) and the 256GB option is at $799 (was $899).

What this means is that Apple’s iPads are actually cheaper than before so if you were still on the fence about purchasing an iPad, the new prices might help push you over the edge. For more details just hit up Apple’s website.
