google maps pokemonWe’re not sure how many of you guys know this, but there’s a feature in Google Maps called the Timeline. As its name implies, this is basically a feature that shows you where you’ve been, what time you were there, and so on. If you’re trying to retrace your steps or just for memory purposes, it can come in handy.

For the most part, the feature is also automatic but users have the option of editing it if they wish. The good news for all you Pokemon fans out there is that it looks like Google has decided to add a new Timeline activity option in the form of “Catching Pokemon”, meaning that you can now log your Pokemon catching activities while you’re out and about.

Why would you want this? If you’re trying to keep a log on all your Pokemon GO activities and trying to remember where you caught what, what time, and so on then this feature could come in handy. You could even share the information with your friends and the Pokemon GO community, to tell them that at this particular time you saw this particular Pokemon.

We guess it’s kind of a novel feature and to be honest, we’re not sure how many users even bother with Google Maps’ Timeline feature to begin with, but either way it’s there if you want to access it. In the meantime if you’re curious about the feature, check out Google’s support page on how to access it.
