A new report published today suggests that Apple has been working on new apps for the Apple Watch which will further improve the fitness and activity tracking features of the company’s wearable devices. One of the apps is said to help Apple Watch users track their sleep patterns in quite a bit of detail which will enable them to analyze their sleep patterns and make any adjustments if need be.

Another new app that Apple is reportedly working on for its smartwatch is one that measures fitness levels by measuring the time taken for a user’s heart rate to fall from its peak to the resting level. Apple already has a heart rate measuring app for the Apple Watch but it doesn’t analyze the data.

Apple has not commented on this report by Bloomberg so it’s unclear right now when these apps are going to be released. Apple is known for normally not commenting on media reports so it’s unlikely that the company is going to tell us something about these apps ahead of time.

Users will certainly be interested in getting more out of their smartwatch so they will be keeping their fingers crossed for these as-yet-unnamed apps for the Apple Watch.
