nokia logoMWC 2017 is still several months away but if you love all things mobile related, we’re guessing you’re probably pretty psyched for it – we know we are! We guess for the most part it’s easy to assume who will be at the event and who will be making announcements, at least based on previous MWCs, but next year could be interesting.

In a tweet by the official Nokia account, the company has announced that they will be present at MWC 2017, or rather the company’s CEO Rajeev Suri will be delivering a keynote speech. It is unclear as to what the speech will be about, but given that Nokia is expected to return to the smartphone market in 2017, many are speculating that we could be looking at new products being announced.

In fact just recently there has been a mysterious Nokia tablet that has been making its rounds, so perhaps we’ll learn more then. However we should note that Nokia themselves will not actually be making the devices themselves. Instead Nokia has licensed out their brand, meaning that the devices released will be Nokia in name only.

However Nokia does have other products besides phones, like the Nokia Ozo camera that is designed for VR so perhaps we will see something else besides a smartphone/tablet. Maybe it could be software, a new mobile platform, who knows? Either way they will there so check back with us then for the details.
