While no one denies that USB-C is the future in terms of connectivity, the main reason why many customers are ticked off at Apple over the new MacBook Pros is due to the fact that Apple has removed all old ports completely. This means that for now and until manufacturers get up to speed, users will need to resort to dongles and hubs.

Now if you’d rather not bring with you a bevy of dongles, there is an accessory launched on Indiegogo called the Line Dock. Basically what it does is that it adds a bunch of legacy ports to your MacBook Pro laptop, such as USB 3.0, HDMI, MiniDisplay Port, an SD card reader, and more.

It will also rest underneath your laptop meaning that there will not be any dongles dangling off your device. The fact that it rests underneath your laptop also allowed its creators to give the Line Dock active cooling features, meaning that it can also double up as a laptop cooler where it will suck out heat from your laptop.

There is also built-in wireless charging which means that when you’re not using the accessory with your MacBook Pro (or even when you are), it can be used to wirelessly charge compatible devices. Of course all of this means extra bulk and thickness, but if you think the usefulness outweighs the disadvantages, then hit up its Indiegogo page to pledge your support.
