Ahead of CES 2018, LG has recently taken the wraps off a new ThinQ Speaker with Google Assistant built into it, and also a new SK10Y soundbar for the home, but if you’re after something a bit less complicated and portable, not to worry as LG has you covered as they have also announced new portable speakers part of their PK series.

As you can see in the photo above, this is a new portable speaker from LG which will pair with devices via the Apt-X HD Bluetooth technology. LG will also be using Meridian Audio’s technology that will help to deliver powerful and undistorted bass, while optimizing speech and vocals, or so LG claims (we haven’t tried them out for ourselves yet).

Also as you can see from the image, there will be lights on the speakers themselves. According to LG these are mood lights and can be adjusted and changed according to your mood, and will also flash according to the beat. The speakers have also been designed to be rugged and easy to carry.

However LG has not mentioned anything regarding pricing or availability, but the company is expected to demonstrate the speakers at CES 2018, so perhaps we’ll learn more about it then.
