The difference in success of Marvel and DC movies are very glaring, where it was recently reported that Justice League is the DCEU’s lowest grossing movie, and as if that wasn’t bad enough, we’re sure that studio executives must be besides themselves because according to reports, Marvel’s Black Panther has managed to become the top-grossing superhero movie of all time in the US.

According to the numbers, Black Panther managed to pull in a whopping $630.9 million in the US to date. This is versus The Avengers which held the title when it earned Marvel and Disney a staggering $623.4 million. This follows an earlier report in which it was reported that Black Panther has managed to earn over $1 billion worldwide.

To be more specific, Black Panther has to date earned $1.237 billion worldwide, surpassing Iron Man 3 which earned $1.214 billion, and while it might have The Avengers beat in the US, worldwide The Avengers is still the biggest earner at $1.518 billion, followed by Avengers: Age of Ultron which earned $1.405 billion.

That being said, we have to wonder how the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War will do. So far it seems that ticket presales have managed to blow past Black Panther, but whether or not it will surpass Black Panther or the other Avenger movies remains to be seen.
