Oprah Winfrey is no doubt a name that many are familiar with when it comes to television. However it seems that in the future we can expect to see some original Oprah Winfrey content come to Apple’s platform as the company has announced a multi-year deal with the famed talk show host.

According to Apple, “Apple today announced a unique, multi-year content partnership with Oprah Winfrey, the esteemed producer, actress, talk show host, philanthropist and CEO of OWN. Together, Winfrey and Apple will create original programs that embrace her incomparable ability to connect with audiences around the world. Winfrey’s projects will be released as part of a lineup of original content from Apple.”

It is unclear when we can expect to see these original programs, but as it stands Apple has yet to officially announce how and when. The company has been busy collecting a lot of shows that presumably will launch on its platform, but like we said they haven’t really shared any details on how they will launch it, how they will charge for it, and so on.

Perhaps we’ll find out in the coming months, or maybe next year, either way we’ll have to wait and see, but with companies like Netflix and Amazon already investing a lot of money into original content, and with Disney launching their own streaming service in 2019, Apple will want to move quickly.
