CES 2007 – The Samsung SGH-F500 is a super-thin video capable phone equipped with a 2.3”, (240×320) display. Samsung claims that it is the first cellphone to support DivX, but I’m pretty sure that I’ve seen smartphones running DivX. Anyways, what is important is that the SGH-F500 is a beauty and its clever keypad design allows the phone to rest with the screen at an angle for a comfortable viewing (well, as much as possible with a 2.3”). The videos can be stored on the internal 400MB memory or on an Micro-SD card (up to 2GB).
And that’s not all, the F500 is also HSDPA (3G) capable and should connect to the internet at entry-level DSL speeds. Congratulations to Samsung for this excellent design.
